About AnyToolsKit

AnyToolsKit is a free collection of file tools that run in your browser. It is organized in sections:

Why we built it

AnyToolsKit started as a desktop application for quickly turning a letter or a logo into a Windows .ico file. The website brings the same editor to every platform without installing anything, and adds other everyday file jobs. We wanted tools that are fast, honest about what they do, and that never require uploading your files.

How it works

  • Everything runs in your browser using JavaScript, WebAssembly and the Canvas API. Your images and PDFs are not sent to a server.
  • ICO files are written with our own encoder (PNG and 32-bit BMP entries, including transparency masks), so they work in Windows, Visual Studio, Electron, PyInstaller and all browsers.
  • PDF pages are rendered with Mozilla’s open-source PDF.js engine, loaded from this site, one page at a time to keep memory use low.
  • Projects can be saved as files on your own device and opened again later.

Who it is for

Web developers who need a favicon set, app developers who need a Windows icon, anyone who needs a page of a PDF as an image for a slide, a post or a form — and everyone who would rather not upload documents to an unknown server. The guides for icons and PDF explain the formats in plain language.

Free to use

AnyToolsKit is free and requires no account. The site may show advertising to cover hosting and development costs. Ads are never placed over the editor canvas, your files or the download buttons.
