Frequently asked questions
Does the other person need my number saved?
No. wa.me links open a chat with that number. They still need WhatsApp installed (or the web app).
Is my QR data uploaded?
No. The code is drawn in your browser with JavaScript. Wi-Fi passwords, phone numbers and vCards never leave this tab.
PNG or SVG — which should I download?
PNG is for chat, slides and the web. SVG scales to any print size without going blurry — use it for posters, packaging and business cards.
